Later this week, two Texas Tech faculty members will host a panel discussion concerning The Joker, from DC Comics Batmanseries. “The Joker: A Serious Study of the Clown Prince of Crime” will examine the legendary Batman villain.

The event will be held Thursday, April 30 at 6pm in the Croslin Room of the Texas Tech University Library. Robert Moses Peaslee and Robert G. Weiner co-wrote the book, The Joker: A Serious Study of the Clown Prince of Crime. Ryan Litsey, who acted as a contributing writer for the book, will also participate in the discussion.

The book was published by University Press of Mississippi and a book signing will be held after the panel concludes.

The panel discussion will also be broadcast live on YouTube. Click this link for the YouTube video page.

The Texas Tech event will serve as a launching pad for a larger scale discussion on the topic. Both Peaslee and Weiner will speak at Denver Comic Con taking place May 23-25.
