In March, Texas Tech University cancelled their spring 2020 graduation commencement ceremonies originally scheduled for May 15th and 16th. The cancellation was due to the growing threat of COVID-19, the novel coronavirus.

The school has announced that the May 2020 commencement ceremonies are back on, so to speak. They will now be held Saturday, May 23rd, but not in person.

It will be a virtual graduation, but Texas Tech says there will be individual recognition for all the graduates, who can even submit personal messages to those who have supported them.

The Texas Tech May commencement ceremonies will be held May 23rd, 2020 at 9 a.m. You can watch the virtual ceremonies here.
