If you are a Texas Rangers fan then you should probably clear your schedule for Saturday, August 31st, as the club announced that they will be retiring the number of all-time Ranger great, Michael Young.

This will be the fifth number retired by the Rangers and the second one this season as just 10 days ago the Rangers retired Adrian Beltre's #29.

Young holds the Texas Rangers team records for hits (2,230), runs scored (1,085), doubles (415), and triples (55). He was a 7-time all-star, won the A.L. batting title in 2005, and was a gold glove award winner in 2008.
