Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Kris Miller, Executive Director of the outdoor musical "Texas!" joined Hasty to talk about the show, it's history, and what attendees can expect at this year's production.

Summer 2016 marks the show's 51st year, which is held in the 1,600-seat Pioneer Amphitheatre in Palo Duro Canyon State Park, which is approximately a 1:45 hour drive from Lubbock. The show frames the long history and conflicts during the settlement of the High Plains in the Texas Panhandle.

BBQ chuckwagon dinner, if purchased, is provided on site before the show by Feldman's Wrong Way Diner in Canyon.

Texas! performances are ongoing, and take place every Tuesday through Sunday through August 20, 2016.

During the interview, Miller said,

We have a lot of people that will go two or three times per year. They'll bring friends or relatives when they come into town, because they're proud of (the show).

More information and tickets are available on the show website, or by calling the box office at 806-655-2181. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
