Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Quorum Report editor Scott Braddock joined Chad to talk about news and events in politics, both in Texas and the nation.

Braddock and Hasty discussed the race for House District 28 (Houston) seat recently vacated by Republican Representative John Zerwas, and the Democratic Party's pursuit of the seat in an upcoming special election, hoping to show progress in "flipping" Texas from the traditional conservative majority.

Speaking about the democrat's intentions in the contest, Braddock said,

It's just smart politics. If they win, it's a fundraising goldmine [showing that] we can win anywhere if we can win there. But if they lose then it's like, 'Well it's a Republican district, and who cares?' It's a special election, anything can happen...I would still say it's a long shot for Democrats.

Braddock also talked about President Trump's rallies in Texas, and much more.
