The identities of the two individuals arrested Thursday afternoon after a high-speed chase have been released.

KAMC News reports the chase began just before 2:30 Thursday afternoon in Lubbock County when a DPS Trooper attempted to stop motorcyclist, 36 year-old Joshua Wayne Stone. Stone evaded the trooper, driving over 110 mph, going into Hockley County and then turning back into Lubbock County.

Stone at one point left his bike and got into a vehicle driven by 32 year-old Angellica Nicol Riojas. The chase ended at 39th Street and Toledo Avenue with Lubbock Police assistance.

Stone was arrested and faces charged for evading and resisting arrest. Riojas was charged with apprehension of a felon and driving with a suspended license.

ORIGINAL STORY: Texas DPS arrested two people Thursday afternoon (August 9) after a high-speed chase through Lubbock and Hockley Counties.

KAMC News reports the chase started just before 2:30 p.m. in Lubbock County when a DPS trooper attempted to stop a street bike along Highway 114. The bike crossed into Hockley County, and then eventually turned back into Lubbock County.

The chase ended at 39th Street and Toledo Avenue with Lubbock Police assistance. The two suspects' identities have not yet been released.
