Texas Comptroller Susan Combs Offers Amnesty for Businesses

Texas Comptroller Susan Combs is giving businesses an opportunity to clear up their tax records without any penalty.  The Fresh Start tax amnesty period will be from June 12 through August 17.  The amnesty covers taxes and fees that were originally due before April 1 of this year.  The amnesty does not apply to taxes that were reported but not paid, or filing periods that businesses have in audit.

A similar amnesty in  2007
