On Tuesday the Attorney General of Texas, Ken Paxton joined The Chad Hasty Show to discuss several issues, including rumors that Governor Greg Abbott's executive orders during the coronavirus crisis allows cities to bypass the law limiting cities' property tax revenue increase to 3.5%, and much more.

About the legal issues his office with is dealing with during the "lockdown" in Texas, and what may lay ahead for the state in the near future, Paxton said, "There's no raod map, these are new things, things that people have not dealt with before, so we are as busy, or more busy I think than we've ever been."

Paxton, while discussing the next phase in returning to work, and legal issues that have arisen which have punished business owners for opening during the shutdown,

We don't have a cure for this, we don't have a vaccine. People are going to get this virus until we do, and we can't shut down for another year and a half, or two years...There's already enough devastation from having to shut it down. I don't want to see more people out of work, more people suffering because they don't have a way to make a living.
