Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, car recommendations, as well as other auto industry news.

This week The Car Pro was test driving the 2021 Nissan Armada, Nissan's all new 3-row large SUV. Reynolds started the discussion by saying that he has never been a fan of this car, as it didn't stack up well compared to other options. However, with its complete redesign for 2021, he said, "This thing is some kind of nice. It's a luxury SUV, and I never thought I'd say those words in the same sentence as Nissan, but they really knocked it out of the park with this one," going on to say that it is a nice mix of old school and new technology, such as its analogue gauges instead of the digital dashboard, but still with features like wifi.

The 2021 Nissan Armada has a V8 engine with no turbos that gets about 400 horses, and weighs a little over 6,000 lbs. The thing that Jerry liked most was the interior, where he said the quilted seats were amazing. The 2nd row has 2 captains chairs and a large console with cupholders and storage, and the 3rd row, while is not super big, could comfortably fit 2 adults. The car is quiet inside, and rides and drives well with good suspension and handling. The car also has an interesting metallic brown color that Nissan calls Maple Pie, and Jerry says he likes.

The car costs $71,000, which Jerry says is right on the mark compared to the other options on the market today. Reynolds did, however, bring up one question for Nissan: With how nice this car is, what will Nissan do with their QX80, which costs about $15,000 more than the Armada, but is very similar.
