Thursday on KFYO Mornings with Dave King and Matt Martin, The Car Pro Jerry Reynolds joined Dave and Matt to talk about his test drive of the week, last week's car show, as well as other auto industry news.

This week, The Car Pro was test driving the 2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition, a special edition of the car made to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Land Cruiser being sold in America. Reynolds started the discussion about the car by talking about how rare it is in America. He explained how the car sells like crazy everywhere in the world, except for the US, where it has a limited production. "If you go to even the biggest Toyota dealers in the country, you might find one or two," Jerry said, explaining that last year only 3,500 were sold in the US. He went on to say,

Toyota intentionally keeps the numbers low. It's almost a cult vehicle.

Jerry went on to explain that the SUV is super capable off road, has a really nice interior, can seat 5 people, drives and rides well, and has good cargo room. However, it also has horrible gas mileage at just 12 miles to the gallon, and is quite pricey at $89,000. In the end, Jerry said that this is not one he'd buy personally, but it's great if you need an offroad vehicle.
