Tech’s Athletic Department is encouraging fans to pack Rocky Johnson Field as the Red Raiders host first-ranked Oklahoma in a three-game series that begins at 7 p.m. Friday evening.

In the game against UNLV, the Red Raiders stranded a season-high 15 base runners, including bases loaded in the first, third, and seventh innings.

Emily Bledsoe will be a member of the Des Caserta organization in the Italian Softball League.

The Mean Green managed to beat the Red Raiders 5-3 at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos, following Tech’s 6-1 win against Texas State earlier in the day.

26-year-old Fox becomes one of the youngest Division I head coaches in the country, after helping lead the Red Raiders to three-straight trips to an NCAA Regional during her tenure.

The program received votes in both of the major collegiate softball polls Tuesday, finishing among the top 30 teams nationwide.

The Lobos will be the first non-conference top 25 team hosted by the Red Raiders since 2003.

Bledsoe has started in all 176 games during her time on the Texas Tech team, mostly at third base. She leads in career doubles for Tech.

Bledsoe, a native of Fulshear, Texas, has been added to the USA Softball Player of the Year Watch List.
