SUV Slides Off Frontage Road Into Southbound Lanes of I-27

Lubbock police responded to a one-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday morning, Feb. 11th, on interstate 27.

Just before 9 a.m., a white SUV was driving south on an I-27 frontage road in North Lubbock near Avenue Q when it lost control and slid off the east embankment.

The SUV slid down and into the southbound lanes of I-27 where it collided with a concrete median. The driver reportedly suffered moderate injuries.

Southbound traffic on I-27 was being diverted to the Avenue Q exit for a short time, but all lanes of I-27 are now back open.
