Texas Tech University has enacted a test optional admission policy for students applying for admission beginning in the fall of 2021.
Many students were unable to take a standardized test in Spring 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While these scores would normally be used for admission consideration, but since many students couldn't sit for the scheduled testing dates, students are allowed the option to apply without considering of SAT or ACT scores.
Students are welcome to submit additional materials that they feel highlight their skills, talents and potential contributions to TTU.
This new policy is open to both students who don't wish to share their scores and to students who weren't able to take the tests.
