Amy Duemer with the South Plains Kidney Foundation stopped by the KFYO studios Wednesday morning and spoke with Lubbock's First News' Tom Collins and Laura Mac about the upcoming Master Chef Event.

On Monday, October, 27, South Plains Kidney Foundation will host chef Jeff Bacon of Triad Commercial Kitchen  of Winston-Salem, North Carolina as their special guest for this event

Th\e five-course meal will begin at 6 pm and be held at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center on the campus of Texas Tech University. Tickets for the event are priced at $325 per person.

This is the Kidney Foundation's primary fundraising event of the year.

In addition to the five-course meal, there will also be a silent auction with numerous items including a diamond necklace.

There will also be a teaching and tasting event on Sunday, October 26th, also at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center.
