Slaton House Catches Fire Hours After Being Condemned
Just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 11th, a fire was reported at a Slaton house that was condemned earlier in the day.
The Slaton Fire Department responded to the 1300 block of South 10th Street. Buffalo Springs was also asked to send firefighters to help.
According to KAMC News, the fire spread to multiple structures in the residential area and took two hours to contain.
There's so far no word on any injuries or the extent of the damages. According to Assistant Fire Chief Cade Kitten, the Slaton Police Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
