LP&L is back in the headlines after the Electric Utility Board approved a plan that would send $800,000 to Texas Tech for advertising over the next 8 years. Many in Lubbock, including members of the Lubbock City Council want to know why. According to those with LP&L, it was Texas Tech that requested the marketing/advertising portion of the contract.
