Should Lubbock City Council Races be Partisan? [POLL]

In theory, we don't know who the Republicans or Democrats are on the City Council. Should that change though? When someone runs for the City Council should we go from non-partisan elections to partisan elections? If someone ran as a Democrat or a Republican, wouldn't it give the public even more information about that person? What would you like to see here in Lubbock, partisan or non-partisan elections?
