KFYO To Host Lubbock Mayoral Debate June 1st
Citizens in Lubbock are just a week away from being able to cast ballots in the June 15 Lubbock Mayoral Election. Early voting begins on Monday, June 3 at various early voting locations throughout Lubbock.
The two candidates on the ballot will be former Lubbock City Councilman Steve Massengale and former Lubbock City Councilman Mark McBrayer. On May 4th, McBrayer finished with 38% of the vote while Massengale finished in second with 28% of the vote.
The two candidates have participated in numerous forums and debates leading up to this election, and on Saturday, June 1st, they will have one last debate.
KFYO Radio will host the KFYO Mayoral Debate on Saturday, June 1st, from 2-4pm at The Science Spectrum. Citizens are invited to attend on a first come, first serve basis. For those not able to make the debate, the debate will be aired on NewsTalk 95.1 FM and 790 AM KFYO and will be replayed during the week. KFYO's Chad Hasty will moderate this debate with both candidates on the stage.
For those wishing to attend Saturday's debate. Please arrive at The Science Spectrum before 2pm when the debate is scheduled to begin.
