Changes could happen to a couple of routes for Citibus due to budget constraints. According to KFYO News:

The Lubbock Public Transit Advisory Board will hold multiple public hearings where citizens can discuss potential changes to Citibus routes.

At the meeting citizens will be able to discuss with the board proposed changes or eliminations to Citibus Routes 19 and 34. Route 19 runs from 24th street and the Quaker Medical District to the South Plains Mall. Route 34 runs from 34th Street and Boston Avenue to South Plains Mall.

After the meeting, the Lubbock Public Transit Advisory Board will make a recommendation to the City Council regarding changes to the routes. If approved, the routes would be eliminated on September 29, 2014.

The hearings will be held on Tuesday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. at Sunset Church of Christ’s Well Meeting Room located at 3727 34th Street and on Wednesday, August 20, at noon at the Citibus Downtown Transfer Plaza located at 801 Broadway Avenue.
