Sheriff Rowe Asks for More Personnel

Among those who appeared before the commissioners with a wish list was Sheriff Kelly Rowe.  The sheriff told commissioners that he has completed a strategic review on three issues – salaries, more personnel and the physical plants or offices maintained by the department.  And he suggested some changes, including more personnel. How much would his requests cost if the commissioners approve?

“It’s broken into certain things depending on how or what they may ultimately approve on that,” Rowe said.  Just for the new positions alone and equipment, benefits  and all those types of things I think it’s about $1.3 million.”
