
Severe Weather Chances Increase For Lubbock and the South Plains
In this part of Texas, no one is ever going to say we have had too much rain, or at least it's very rare for someone to say those words. Over the next few days, Lubbock and the South Plains will see a pretty good chance of rain and thunderstorms.
And some of those storms could be severe beginning Thursday.
Severe Weather For Lubbock and the South Plains
According to the National Weather Service. Our area will see rain and thunderstorms Wednesday night and some of those storms could produce small hail. The real action is on Thursday were the National Weather Service is already warning about localized flooding could be a problem Thursday morning.
Thursday afternoon or evening, severe weather has a good chance of returning.
As of this writing, severe weather on Thursday could include hail, high wind, and even tornadoes. We should have a better idea tomorrow of what could happen, but the National Weather Service is saying to prepare for all.
Not everyone will see rain and not everyone will see severe storms.
Rain and Storms the Next Few Days
According to forecasts from the National Weather Service, the South Plains, including Lubbock, will have another shot of seeing thunderstorms Friday night. Saturday will be sunny and warm, and then rain chances return on both Sunday and Monday.
