Sen. Ted Cruz: Expect Continued Biden Attacks On Second Amendment Rights [INTERVIEW]
Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) joined the broadcast to talk about several items on the national front, including President Biden's aggressive attack on firearms, gun owners and their Second Amendment rights, as well as the crisis on the southern U.S. border, and the massive 'infrastructure' spending bill.
When asked about President Biden's announced intentions to use executive orders to restrict firearms, and whether those actions will be challenged in court, Cruz responded,
They'll certainly be challenged in court, and I think that what Biden did yesterday is consistent with his political and ideological commitments. He hates the Second Amendment, he intends to come after our gun rights, and I think this is just the opening salvo. This is just dipping his toe in what is going to be a full-on frontal assault trying to take away Second Amendment rights from law abiding citizens...What the Democrats always, always, always want to do is, not focus on the criminals, but focus on you. Take away Second Amendment rights from law abiding citizens. Not because it makes us safer. In fact the data shows it makes us less safe. When you disarm the citizenry, there is more violent crime, not less. But they don't care, it's an ideological commitment and promise to the extreme left, and sadly that has characterized the entire three months of the Biden presidency so far.
While discussing the many angles of the dire situation on the border, Cruz said,
It is a national security crisis, it's a humanitarian crisis, and it is a public health crisis. They are releasing illegal immigrants who are testing positive for COVID at a rate seven times higher than the U.S. population, and all of that's because of Joe Biden.
