Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Quorum Report editor Scott Braddock joined Chad to discuss the first week of the 86th Texas Legislature.

Braddock and Hasty talked about the main topics of focus in Austin so far, the power players, and much more. Also discussed was the emerging field of Democrats, including Julian Castro, putting their names into the 2020 presidential race.

While speaking about the populist platforms of many of those candidates and their initial angles in the campaign, Braddock said,

You have the liberal lane, you also have the Latino lane. There's a lot of identity politics going on here, quite frankly.
