Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Scott Braddock, editor of QuorumReport.com, joined the program to talk about the start of the 87th Texas Legislature, and much more news around the state.

Braddock and Hasty discussed the procedures reportedly being put into place in the state capitol to deal with the coronavirus crisis, the GOP leadership team that has been assembled, the runoff election between Shelley Luther and Representative Drew Springer for the Texas Senate, and much more.

Braddock said of the start of the legislative session and the prospect of a vaccine restoring normalcy to the session,

It's going to be very pared-down, apparently, from what we normally see...We're not going to see the effects of the [coronavirus] vaccine be able to restore a normal session, as we've talked about, in time for the constitutional limits of when the legislature meets.
