Monday on The Chad Hasty Show the editor of QuorumReport.com, Scott Braddock, joined the program to share his views on the start of the RNC convention, as well as on the news of an emergency special election being called by Governor Greg Abbott for Texas State Senate District 30.

While talking about the Republican convention, and the possible impact it will have on the general election in November, Braddock said,

The real question for both of these conventions is whether they're saying anything that appeals to people who aren't already in the camp of Biden or Trump, and I think that the Democrats did a pretty decent job of reaching toward the center last week....Will the Republicans do something similar? Not sure.

Braddock also talked about the candidates running to replace Senator Pat Fallon in District 30, including Representative Drew Springer, Denton salon owner Shelley Luther, who gained fame during the coronavirus business shutdown earlier this year, as well as Denton mayor Chris Watts.
