Monday on The Chad Hasty Show, Quorum Report editor Scott Braddock appeared on the program to discuss the announced revenues available for the 86th Texas Legislature, and other topics.

Braddock and Hasty talked the much larger than expected revenue funds which Comptroller Glenn Hegar estimated to be $119 billion, the sources of that money, and where those funds may be applied.

Braddock sees a difficult and busy session ahead for Texas legislators, with many different topics on the agenda.

While speaking about the many differences he sees between former speaker Joe Straus and Dennis Bonnen, who will be nominated on Tuesday, December 08, 2019, Braddock said,

While Straus is somebody who, quite honestly could have a sort of boring leadership style, not exactly charismatic, not hot-headed, very even-handed and level-headed, Bonnen is somebody who has been more of a flame thrower, somebody who's been sort of the 'bad cop' to Straus' 'good cop'...The leadership team that Bonnen puts together will be very telling.

Braddock also talked about the significance of District 83 Representative Dustin Burrows being asked to offer a nominating speech.
