Quorum Report editor Scott Braddock joined The Chad Hasty Show on Monday to discuss the latest news and politics in Texas.

Prior to talking about national politics and campaigns, Braddock and Hasty discussed the fallout from the public release of the audio recording made by Michael Quinn Sullivan during a conversation between himself, Texas Speaker of the House Dennis Bonnen and Representative Dustin Burrows.

With the report still forthcoming from a Texas Rangers investigation into the matter, legislators and lobbyists recently met for their annual caucus retreat. While describing the undercurrent of conversations and attitudes during the gathering, Braddock said,

It was certainly uncomfortable under the surface...It was interesting to see Bonnen get a standing ovation from [House] members and lobbyists gathered...but [there] was some anger under the surface Chad, some members basically almost shouting at each other privately over what had gone down with this tape.
