The Salvation Army of Lubbock is asking for some extra help this Christmas season.

Their Red Kettle goal for this year is $250,000, and currently, the group is $24,000 behind where they were at this time last year. So far, the Salvation Army of Lubbock has raised just over $117,000 this year in the Red Kettle campaign.

The Salvation Army also notes that their Angel Tree program has 1,500 angels that have yet to be adopted. All gifts for the Angel Tree program are due by this Friday, and will be distributed next Monday and Tuesday.

For children whose angel is not adopted, the Salvation Army will provide them with a gift card from funds collected in the Red Kettle campaign.
