Ruidoso Downs to Host Kentucky Derby Events

A celebration of a famous annual event in horse racing will be held a bit closer to the South Plains.

Ruidoso Downs and the Billy the Kid Casino will be featuring every race of the Kentucky Derby from Churchill downs this weekend.

Billy’s Race Book will open at 8 a.m. Saturday, and full wagering opportunities on all the races at Churchill Downs and others across the country will be available as well.

The All-American Turf Club will be open with free seating and a lunch buffet during the races as well.

Promotions in the casino will include a “Best Hat Contest”, cash prizes, and drink specials.

Ruidoso Downs is just outside of Ruidoso, New Mexico.
