Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Ross Ramsey, executive editor and co-founder of The Texas Tribune appeared on the program to talk about the latest from Austin and the 86th Texas Legislature.

Ramsey and Hasty discussed property tax reform, education funding, teacher pay, and more.

Speaking about what the realities are on the subject of property tax reforms, Ramsey said,

The House is leaning, some of the conservatives even in the House are leaning, more toward around five percent, which would be half way between where the House and Senate settled last time. I think if you had to predict the future here, you'd probably say they're going to get a bill, [but] it's probably not going to be at 2 1/2 percent.
