Robbery Suspect Arrested in Lubbock is a Known Felon

A Lubbock Police SWAT Team was called out to a home in Central Lubbock on Tuesday, July 21.
A police report states that the SWAT team was called in regards to a robbery suspect who is also a known felon.
Multiple officers responded to a home in the 3800 block of 36th Street, where 29-year-old suspect Shane Lester refused to surrender.
After a short standoff, negotiators did convince Lester to exit the home without incident and he was taken into custody.
Lester faces multiple charges, including drug possession and evading arrest, and is currently held in the Lubbock County Detention Center with bond amounts pending.
