On Tuesday, July 6th, the Gaines County Sheriff's Office took to Facebook to announce recent reports they received regarding 2 suspects impersonating Sheriff's Deputies.

Earlier that day, it's said that a Gaines County citizen had a traffic stop initiated on them by a suspect driving a White Ford Passenger Car with a tall antenna, black rims,  red/blue lights on the dash and a siren. The second suspect was driving a White Tahoe or Yukon also with red/blue lights and a siren.

The first suspect is said to be a tall white male of German decent. He was wearing a starched, bluish long sleeve shirt, a cowboy hat and a large belt buckle. The second suspect was described as a heavier set white male with a white goatee that was wearing a dark blue polo, jeans, a ball cap and a large belt buckle.

Neither of the suspects were said to have been wearing badges or guns that were visible to the victim. They also didn't display any type of insignia that would indicate they were law enforcement.

It's said that the suspects ordered everyone out of the person's car and conducted a search. Afterwards, the suspects left the scene.

Anyone that may have information on the identification of these suspects can call Lieutenant Landon Walker at 432-758-9871. If you see the vehicles in question, it's asked that you call 911 and give a location of the suspects.
