The Lubbock City Council sure has been in the news a lot lately, and it hasn't been for anything good. The council last week decided to ignore a recommendation by the City Attorney to hire an outside attorney to investigate complaints from three City of Lubbock employees. The complaints were all targeted at Councilman Victor Hernandez. Last week though the council decided to throw out parts of one complaint from one city employee, and the entire complaint made by another. The council then decided to investigate, without legal representation, complaints made by the City Manager and to investigate the City Manager herself.

This all comes as the council is looking into having a bond election next year.

How would you rate the job performance of the Lubbock City Council?
