Randy Christian To Host Town Hall Meeting
Lubbock City Councilman for District 5, Randy Christian, will be hosting a town hall meeting on Tuesday, April 6. The meeting will take place at Monterey Church of Christ which is located at 82nd and Iola from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
I believe this is the first in-person town hall meeting that a member of the Lubbock City Council has had since the stat of the coronavirus pandemic. It's a good opportunity for citizens across the City of Lubbock to ask questions and find out what projects and future potential issues the Lubbock City Council will be voting on.
According to a press release, there will be City of Lubbock representatives on hand to speak about topics such as:
- 2021 State Legislative Session
- Future Needs
- Streets
- ERCOT/PUC
- Uniform Development Code
- Mac Davis Tribute
- McAlister Park
- Outdoor Advertising
Those attending are welcome to wear masks, but they are not required. Social distancing will also be encouraged during the town hall.
According to the press release, citizens can submit questions and comments prior to the town hall at this website by 5:00 p.m. on April 5.
Hopefully citizens will be able to ask questions on site during the town hall as well.
I encourage people to attend this town hall meeting with Lubbock City Councilman Randy Christian. These town halls do not happen very often and one reason (other than the pandemic) that these meetings don't happen often is because few people show up.
Get involved in your city government and ask questions about the future issues that the City of Lubbock will be dealing with.
