Celebrate the month of October by visiting the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Trail hosted by the Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department. Tonight through Monday you and your family can visit the trail through the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum which features over 1,000 jack-o-lanterns carved by local families, and organizations.

Evening hours are from 6:00 to 9:00 today and Sunday, and 6:00 to 10:00 Friday and Saturday. 30 business and civic groups will also host displays for visitors, including a Peter Pan themed pirate ship. The event is free.

The arboretum is located at 4111 University Avenue. Limited parking is available behind Hodges Community Center and at the Garden and Arts Center.  Park and Ride will be available from Safety City located on the east side of Clapp Park at 46th Street and Avenue U.
