Pickup Leads Texas DPS Troopers on Chase Thursday Afternoon
Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were led on a chase Thursday afternoon by a pickup truck in Central and Southwest Lubbock.
KAMC News reports that the chase started at around 3:30 p.m. when an officer attempted to stop the pickup for a traffic violation near 66th Street and I-27.
The 2 people in the truck were throwing items out during the chase, which ended at County Road 1530 and County Road 6440. The chase lasted around 15 minutes.
2 men were arrested after the driver stopped. DPS said that officers used a taser on one of the suspects.
The names of the men have yet to be released, but they were both charged with evading, and the passenger was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
