Patrick Svitek Talks Texas Legislature, Democratic Candidates for President [INTERVIEW]

On Friday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Patrick Svitek from the Texas Tribune joined the broadcast to discuss the first week of the 86th legislative session in Austin, issues facing the state of Texas, as well as Texas Democrats who have announced their candidacy for president.

While talking about Julian Castro's run for the presidency, and his standing among other Democratic candidates, Svitek said:

He is starting out as an underdog, to put it generously, and here in Texas, of course, so much more attention is being paid to Beto O'Rourke...There's no doubt that Castro is, I think, flying under the radar for now, at the national level.
