On Friday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Patrick Svitek from the Texas Tribune joined Chad to share with listeners the latest news from the Texas legislature, and who's who so far in the Democratic Party's prospective nominees for the 2020 presidential race.

Svitek talked about the recent committee assignment announcements in Austin, and updated Chad on the conflict between Senator Kel Seliger and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, as well as the results of Beto O'Rourke's "road trip".

While talking about the committee assignments, Svitek said,

I think that [Speaker] Bonnen's team, and himself, in putting together these committee assignments, pay pretty close attention to making sure that different parts of the state were well represented in the assignments.
