On Thursday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Bob Paduchik, co-chairman of the Republican National Committee, joined the broadcast to discuss the state of the GOP and the mid-term elections in November.

While answering Hasty's query about the race between Texas Senator Ted Cruz and Representative Beto O'Rourke, who is challenging Cruz for the U.S. Senate, Paduchik said:

Ted Cruz is a strong conservative, he represents Texas values...I think that's a safe seat for [the Republican Party]...because O'Rourke is so out of touch with average Texans.
