Lubbock Police reported that on Friday, November 13th the suspect in the deadly shooting that happened outside of Orlando's had died.

20-year-old Isaiah Trey Mesa was transported to University Medical Center with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after the shooting death of 19-year-old Haven Trevino just minutes before.

Police initially responded to Orlando's Italian Restaurant at 6951 Indiana Avenue on Thursday, November 12th at around 12:15 p.m. Trevino was located at the scene with life-threatening gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Then, about 5 minutes later, LPD received a report of a suicidal man at 102 North Avenue P. Officers located Mesa with a self inflicted gunshot wound.

A police report states that Mesa approached Trevino as she was in her car and fired several shots at her before fleeing the scene. Multiple witnesses say they saw Mesa fire around 4 to 5 shots into Trevino's vehicle.

It's being said that Mesa and Trevino were in a relationship previously, but had broken up. The call of a suicidal man after the shooting is presumed to have been from Trevino's boyfriend at the time, as they indicated Mesa had killed "his girlfriend."

Trevino leaves behind her young son. A GoFundMe page can be found here for Trevino's family.
