One Person Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident in East Lubbock

Emergency crews and local police responded to the scene of an accident Monday night at an intersection.

KAMC News reports that the crash involved a semi-truck and a pickup at East 19^th Street and MLK Jr. Boulevard.

Lubbock Police reported Monday night that the crash occurred around 6:00 p.m. and that the driver of the pickup suffered serious injuries and was taken by EMS to a local hospital.

The condition of the semi-truck driver is unknown. Police closed the area down Monday night to investigate the crash but have since reopened it.

Investigators are still working to determine how the crash occurred and who may be at fault.
