One person has been reportedly hospitalized after a shooting Monday night (March 11th) in West Lubbock.

The Lubbock Police Department says officers responded to the shooting at around 9 p.m. in the 6100 block of 37th Street.

The victim is said to have been shot in the head and taken to a local hospital with moderate to severe injuries.

KAMC News reports that the suspected shooter fled the scene and that police are still investigating.

As of Tuesday morning, there's been no update on the victim's condition.
