Today (Wednesday, June 7), Bob Stoops, who has been head coach at Oklahoma University for 18 seasons, announced that he will be retiring.

Berry Tramel, a reporter for The Oklahoman, reports that offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley is said to take over as head coach. There's also reports that Stoops will remain with the university in some capacity.

Stoops' history with the team is legendary, coming out with an 18-year record of 190-48. Stoops also led the Sooners to win nine outright Big 12 titles.
