UPDATE: Apparently the Cardinals and Michael Crabtree could not reach a deal after the receiver worked out for the team on Monday. He could still sign with the team, but as of now he's still a free agent and looking for a new team.

ORIGINAL STORY: Red Raiders have to stick together in the world, and that's what happened Monday with Kliff Kingsbury and the Arizona Cardinals signing former Red Raider Michael Crabtree.

After a huge lack of playmakers last season, the Cardinals have invested heavily in the wide receiver position this offseason, with two draft picks and several free-agent signings.

Crabtree, 31, played all 16 games for the Ravens last season. He made 54 catches for 607 yards and two touchdowns.

Crabtree will now fight for a roster spot with the Cardinals who open the preseason on Thursday against Anthony Lynn and the Chargers. Red Raiders everywhere! If Crabtree makes the roster, he'll have the chance to rekindle his biggest beefs in the NFL with both Aqib Talib and Richard Sherman in the Cardinals division.

Also, if you thought Kliff Kingsbury was going to change at all in the NFL, you were wrong. He's still stockpiling WRs and he still won't tell anyone what is going on with his QBs.

Never change, Kliff.
