Melissa McDougal Wants To Be Advocate For Children [INTERVIEW]

Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Melissa McDougal, candidate for LISD School Board Place 5, joined the show in the KFYO studio to talk about her reasons for seeking election to the board.

McDougal and Hasty discussed several topics, including bond and tax issues, as well as testing. When asked by Hasty what it was that drew her into the race, McDougal answered,

I have a passion for kids. I have always loved being involved with kids in some way or another. Through mentoring, working at Cool Kids Camp, being involved in our youth, all different ages, I've always loved being involved with children. And to me this is a way that I can be an advocate for our kids. To be able to be on this board and make sure that we're doing everything we can to help every child succeed.
