Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson joined the show to talk about his campaign for District 19 Representative in the U.S. Congress.

Hasty and Robertson discussed many important topics, and Robertson answered some questions from listeners. Among the topics were his opponents in the race, the economy, subsidies, and Lubbock's response to the recent blizzard that engulfed the city.

When asked in what direction he believes the national economy is headed, Robertson replied,

I think we're in trouble. I think the U.S. economy is staggering again. If you watched the fluctuations of the stock market this year, ...the drastic swings, the fact that we've got oil actually in a crisis mode right now, we've got ag out here in West Texas in crisis, and we've got policies that are forcing businesses to make tough decisions. We're outsourcing, we're taking the manufacturing off shore. We're producing very little in this country, and we've got to start changing those policies. Incentivize people to reinvest back in the United States, and quit moving jobs and manufacturing off shore.
