Earlier this month, the Lubbock City Council District 3 election went to a runoff as none of the three candidates, Deanne Clark, Jeff Griffith and Maurice Stanley, received 50% of the vote.

Griffith and Clark advanced to the June runoff as Clark received 38.5% of the vote and Griffith 33.2% of the vote.

Today, Stanley announced he will endorse Griffith in the District 3 runoff. Stanley and Griffith are both pro-city funded development for District 3 while Clark has advocated a policy of fiscal responsibility for the city council.

Stanley and Clark will hold a Thursday press conference to expand upon the endorsement.
