Matt Mackowiak’s Expectations For President Trump’s Address On National Security And The Border [INTERVIEW]
Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show political strategist Matt Mackowiak joined Chad to share his thoughts about the start of the 86th Texas Legislature, as well as tonight's address to the nation by the president on national security and the border.
Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the agenda of President Trump and the standoff between himself and Democrats, issues facing the state of Texas, as well as the incoming Speaker of the House Dennis Bonnen.
While speaking about President Trump's speech, the reasons for the ongoing partial government shutdown, and what Mackowiak expects Trump to say, Mackowiak said,
This is about semantics, it's about neither side wanting to give the other side a victory...Both sides have to come together and compromise a little bit to try to get a deal done.
