On Monday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Washington Times columnist and political analyst Matt Mackowiak joined the show to discuss all the news and events in the run-up for the mid-term elections.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the Texas senate race, as well as other important contests taking place in the state.

While speaking about the race between Senator Ted Cruz and challenger Beto O'Rourke, Mackowiak said of Cruz's current lead,

There are senior people on the Cruz team that believe that a double-digit win is very possible. It's all going to come down to turnout...If Republicans are motivated, if they do turn out, particularly in suburban areas, there's a good chance for Cruz to have a pretty significant win.
