Wednesday on The Chad Hasty Show Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak joined the broadcast to talk about tonight's debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Also discussed was President Trump's nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to be the next Justice on the United States Supreme Court.

While speaking about Biden's recent performance on the campaign trail, and where his weaknesses may lie, Mackowiak said,

I just have to wonder about whether he's really going to be able to be sharp enough tonight to demonstrate to the American people that he is prepared to be president of the United States. Four, eight years ago, ten years ago, there probably wasn't much question about that. But if you look over the last few months, the constant just basic mistakes he's making, the reliance on the teleprompter, the lack of travel, the lack of questions from reporters, the lack of interviews, I mean it's really pretty striking. It almost looks like he's not even trying to win, or trying to run for president, he's just sort of wasting time.

Summing up the importance of tonight's event, Mackowiak said,

Tonight's debate is going to just be absolutely fascinating. I would argue it's probably the most important televised debate we've had since 1980.
